Dr. Gregory Schroder is a highly talented and compassionate bariatric surgeon, serving patients in Richmond, Virginia previously at Bon Secours, and now at Advanced Surgical Partners of Virginia. He has performed thousands of surgeries since completing his surgical training in the early 1990’s. Dr. Schroder’s special interests include Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding, and General Surgery. Dr Schroder and his partner Dr Matthew Brengman were voted Top Weight Loss Surgeons in Richmond for 2013.

Dr. Schroder has held numerous leadership positions including Associate Professor of Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Chairman of Henrico Doctors’ Hospital Department of Surgery, Associate Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia, Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital, and Chairman of the St. Mary’s Hospital Cancer Committee.

He serves as a proctor in the Advancement of Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery and is involved in numerous hospital and professional committees.
