Doctors of Weight Loss, a resource for individuals who want to understand the latest research, news, and options for weight loss surgery, has announced the addition of 7 bariatric surgeons to their existing panel. Doctors of Weight Loss launched in May, 2011, and currently features 43 expert bariatric surgeons. Since launch, the surgeons’ analysis and commentary has included sources such as: new obesity studies in JAMA, Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Journal of Adolescent Health, and the British Medical Journal; presentations from the Endocrine Society’s Annual Meeting; and studies from Pennington Biomedical Research Center, the University of Missouri, and a large multi-national study on a master gene’s role in fat metabolism. This new group of 7 surgeons will add to the resources created, and continue to analyze and provide opinions on the obesity and bariatric news.
